About Me:
You can view my Resume for details on my professional skills.
I’ve lived in Missouri my whole life and have been a storyteller since I can remember. My other interests include spending time with my pets, playing video games, painting (canvas and my face), and baking.
I have attended a few schools so far, including MCC Longview in Lee’s Summit, MO, where I received my associate’s degree and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO, where I received my BA in English with minors in technical writing and creative writing.

I have been a writing tutor since 2015. I have worked at both Longview’s and the University of Central Missouri’s Writing Centers and am always challenging myself to become a better tutor and consider how I can help more students. From 2021-2024, I attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where I earned my Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Media Arts with a focus on poetry and completed a teaching assistantship. I was awarded the Sosland Teaching Award in May 2024. Currently, I work as an adjunct English instructor at UMKC, a writing tutor, and a freelance editor.
I enjoy writing poetry (text and visual), fiction (including short stories, novellas, and novels), and creative nonfiction.
I hope to be a college professor of creative writing and help master's students with their creative work and theses.
