I’ve lived in Missouri my whole life and have been a storyteller since I can remember. My other interests include spending time with my pets, playing video games, painting (canvas and my face), and baking.

 

I have attended a few schools so far, including MCC Longview in Lee’s Summit, MO where I received my associate’s degree and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri where I received my BA in English with minors in technical writing and creative writing. I have been a writing tutor since 2015. I have worked at both Longview’s and UCM’s Writing Centers and am always challenging myself to become a better tutor and consider how I can help more students. Currently, I attend UMKC where I'm earning my Master's in Fine Arts with a focus on poetry and completing a teaching assistantship.

 

I enjoy writing poetry (text and visual); fiction, including short stories, novellas, and novels; and creative nonfiction.

 

I hope to be a college professor of creative writing.
